Isaac Rosa has published the novels ¡Otra maldita novela sobre la guerra civil!, El vano ayer, which in 2005 won the Rómulo Gallegos, Ojo Critico and Andalucia Critica Prizes and was later made into a film under the title La vida en rojo; and El país del miedo honoured by the editors of the J.M. Lara Foundation as the best novel of the year with the film version currently in production. A newspaper columnist, he is also a short story writer, wrote the play Adiós, muchachos, and is co-author of the non- fiction book Kosovo. His work has been translated into several different languages.
